After six years of dating, Ami popped the question! Well—that’s a bit of a stretch…technically he didn’t ask. We were out on the water at Skaha Lake when he handed me a ring and quietly waited from my reaction. I guess he interpreted the fact that I put it on and started to cry to mean ‘yes.’ He didn’t write a poem or make a speech, but it was sweet and romantic all the same (ask me to tell you the full story some time). It was an amazing moment, and as unusually strong waves tried to threaten our little dingy, we laughed and tried not to spill a celebratory bottle of Blasted Church.
Planning our wedding is an amazing opportunity for us to understand exactly what our clients go through. We’re sorting through options and ideas and there is sooo much to think about it’s a bit overwhelming! I’m thinking back to the many couples we’ve photographed who maintained their cool as they created their plans. My number one wish is that through the busy weeks and months ahead, we remember those relationships and have some fun as we dream up our celebration!
We’ve been flooded with love from our family and friends, and we’re very excited for the next chapter of our lives to begin!
